On the south side of the lake, Camping San Francesco enjoys an enviable view from its beach - a stunning mountain backdrop with the picturesque medieval fortress town of Sirmione in the foreground. This is a friendly campsite with first class facilities including a fine bar and restaurant with a view of the lake from the terrace. Grassy sunbathing areas can be found next to the pebbled beach and a jetty provides an excellent platform for launching boats. The lake is ideal for swimming and shallow around the beach area. The tranquil, wooded camping area borders the lake and is linked by a pedestrian underpass to the splendid swimming pool, sports and entertainment complex located over the road from reception. This sports and pool area is very spacious with plenty of grass and sunbathing areas on which to relax by day. By night it becomes the venue for the popular family entertainment in high season. This region has excellent transport links to the romantic and elegant cities of Verona (45 minutes) or Venice and Milan (2 hours).
