Just north of the beautiful old port of Piombino, the Etruscan coastline is defined by the shimmering Tyrrhenian sea and its wide sandy beaches, spectacular headlands and off-shore volcanic islands. Park Albatros is a large and spacious campsite set in 30 acres of pine forest, offering some excellent facilities and a relaxed atmosphere. It is a short walk or cycle, across a main road, to the nearest beach, which is a beautiful stretch of sand backed by trees and dunes. Nearby are many other alternatives with snorkelling around the rocky headlands, watersports in the beautiful Bay of Baratti and the more cosmopolitan beaches of San Vincenzo. The campsite itself provides a huge and varied swimming pool area surrounded by restaurants and bars exuding a tropical atmosphere. The varied evening entertainment is held at the impressive stage area near the pools and there is a separate on-site disco for the over 16s. Our tents and mobile homes are located in various areas around this large campsite. Just behind the Bay of Baratti is one of the most important Etruscan archaeological sites overlooked by the stunning hilltop fortress of Populonia. Siena is under 2 hours drive away and the campsite organise excursions to Rome, Florence and Elba.
