Set on a
steep hillside and in a 9-acre forest of pine, oak and olive trees,
Le Pianacce is a small friendly campsite that exudes rustic charm.
4 miles from the sandy
beach of Marina di Castagneto, it is surrounded by
classic Tuscan scenery where pretty hilltop towns give way to
vineyards and fields of corn, sunflowers and red poppies. From the
restaurant and bar, enjoy a panoramic view of the beautiful coastal
plain and Tyrrhenian Sea as well as the most glorious sunsets. The
bar terrace also has a view of the children’s pool, complete with
rocks, water games and a castle-themed slide. The play park is close
by and not very far from the square, where the children’s evening
entertainment is held during high season. Some of our tents are
located in the lower area of the campsite, with the rest on the
middle terraces. Our mobile homes are located on the higher
terraces. The charming medieval town of Castagneto
Carducci with
restaurants, bars,
shops and a castle
is just over a mile away. There are many walks and
cycle routes from which to enjoy the delightful Tuscan landscape and
towns like Pisa, Lucca and Volterra are all within an hour’s drive.
