Making a Booking

Our camping and mobile home holidays are flexible and can start and finish on any day of the week. Our prices are based on a 3-night minimum holiday, but you can stay for as long as you wish, subject to availability. Because all of our holidays are individually tailored to our customers’ needs, we do not operate an online booking system. To make a booking please contact us by phone or e-mail with details of your holiday requirements. You will be given our current availability and a quotation. If we cannot accommodate your exact holiday request we may be able to offer you alternative dates that fit in with our existing bookings. The earlier you book the more chance you have of securing the exact holiday that you want. When you are happy with our offer, you can make a no-obligation provisional booking prior to paying your deposit. When you make a provisional booking you will be given a time limit in which you should pay your holiday deposit. Bookings made less than 8 weeks before departure should be paid in full at the time of booking. Please do not make travel arrangements until you have made a provisional booking. We accept payment by UK cheque (payable to Venue Holidays Ltd), cash or postal orders. We also accept payment from all major credit and debit cards. There is a charge of 2% (minimum charge £2) on credit card payments. There is no charge for payment by debit card. We do not accept American Express.

Before you reserve your holiday, we advise you to read the points below and our full booking conditions.

Pricing your holiday

Take the 3-night base price from the season in which your first night at the resort is taken. For longer holidays the extra night rate is added from night 4 of your holiday, according to the season in which each of these nights are taken.

Channel crossing

Our prices include any mid-week saver return ferry crossing between Dover and Calais with P&O Ferries. All other crossings will carry a supplement. Please see our Travel Guide or our website for further information on travel supplements and charges. An additional Channel crossing will cost £90 plus any applicable supplements (see Travel Guide). If you do not require a Channel crossing, deduct £50 from the price.

Your party

In respect to the accommodation our standard package includes 1 car, 2 adults and up to 4 children (under 21). Extra persons will be charged at £8 per person per night plus any additional ferry charges. Some cross Channel operators have a different standard package (see Travel Guide). On each resort page we indicate the maximum persons allowed per accommodation type on that campsite. This may vary from the bed capacity indicated on the accommodation pages.

Extra cars

2nd cars are permitted on certain campsites only and there will usually be a charge payable directly to the campsite on arrival. On some campsites 2nd cars must be left in the car park.

Mini-tents

Venue Holidays do not supply mini-tents but you are welcome to bring your own where the campsite regulations allow. The campsite may charge you a fee and you must keep your mini-tent, car, outside furniture and belongings within the confines of your pitch.

Pets

Pets are allowed in our tent accommodation on certain campsites only (see resort pages). Venue Holidays charge £20 damage insurance on each pet and campsites and ferry operators may charge additional fees. You must notify us at the time of booking if you are taking a pet.

Damage waiver

For the price of £20 per party our Damage Waiver policy will cover you for accidental loss of or damage to any of the Venue Holidays’ accommodation and equipment. If you do not pay the Damage Waiver then you will be asked to pay a damage deposit of £200, on arrival at the resort.

Campsite facilities

Main swimming pool facilities are included in the price but other campsite services and activities may cost extra. Please note that some campsite facilities may not be open or fully operational outside of the high season and this is reflected in the lower prices for these periods. On the resort pages LS = Low Season and HS = High Season. In general the high season is July and August but this may vary.

Campsite representatives

At each resort we employ our own campsite representatives to prepare your accommodation before your arrival and to look after you during your holiday. If you are not happy with the standard of preparation of your accommodation you should tell our campsite representative straight away on arrival. We will immediately undertake a “re-clean” of your accommodation.  Please leave your accommodation clean and tidy on departure.

Special requests

If you have any special requests to make about the location of your accommodation please let us know. We will pass this information to our campsite representatives, who will do their best to meet your requirements. We regret that we cannot guarantee any special requests.
