Two miles
from the resort of Playa de Pals and just 45 minutes from the French
border, Camping Playa Brava enjoys a unique location within a nature
conservation area. With its own wide, sandy beach, it also has
direct frontage onto a lake fed by freshwater springs. If this isn't
enough, the campsite has a swimming pool surrounded by extensive
grassy sunbathing areas. Overlooking the pool is the bar terrace
which is the venue for the relaxed high season discos. The lake is
available for fishing and non-motorised craft, whilst larger boats
can be launched from the beach. The windsurf school uses the calm
lake water for lessons. Just south of Pals, the rocky coastline
lends itself to some excellent snorkelling at beaches like Sa Riera
and Aiguablava and full diving courses are available. Pals itself
has a beautiful old town with cobbled streets and some excellent
Catalan restaurants. There are markets every day in nearby towns.
With 3 waterparks nearby, and the “Port Aventura” adventure theme
park, just south of Barcelona, there is plenty of thrilling
entertainment to enjoy!
