Looking for a mixture of sightseeing, activity and beach relaxation? Look no further than the Charente Maritime. The miles of golden sandy beaches and cooling pine forests, the oyster beds of the Marennes, the scenic islands of Ré and Oléron, the historic port of La Rochelle and the distilleries in Cognac make this a great all-round holiday destination. Camping L’Orée du Bois is located in the heart of a forest near a wide variety of beaches. To the west is the Côte Sauvage, popular for body boarding and to the south there are more sheltered beaches near the resorts of La Palmyre, St Palais and Royan. With 40 miles of good cycle paths winding through the forest and along the coast, a bike is the obvious mode of transport to explore this region. The campsite has an excellent pool complex with water slides and a lazy river. For added excitement try the excellent tree-walking course next door. During July and August the campsite organises a host of daily events including sports activities as well as other daytime events. The evening entertainments including a twice-weekly family disco take place in the covered outdoor arena near the bar.

Arrive and Depart on any day. Minimum stay 3 nights.

Extra nights will be charged from night 4 according to the season in which they are taken.

Extra persons £8 per person per night, where permitted. Baby pack £4 per night.
